Terms of Service
Rules and conditions for using Freya.
Service Description
Freya is a web-based tax calculator and bookkeeping tool designed for sole proprietors (jednoosobowa działalność gospodarcza, "JDG") operating in Poland. The service provides:
- Monthly tax and ZUS contribution calculations for ryczałt, skala podatkowa, and podatek liniowy.
- Invoice generation with PDF export.
- Expense tracking and categorization.
- Payment deadline reminders via email.
- Annual report generation and CSV export.
- AI-assisted chat (powered by Anthropic Claude) for product help and general tax questions — not personalised advice.
Important Disclaimer — Not Tax Advice
Freya is an informational tool. It does NOT constitute tax advice, accounting services, or professional consultation.
While we strive for accuracy and source all tax constants from official Polish government publications (gov.pl, zus.pl, stat.gov.pl, dziennikustaw.gov.pl), the user bears full responsibility for verifying all calculations before filing tax declarations or making payments.
Specifically:
- Freya calculations are estimates based on the information you provide and current tax law as we understand it.
- Tax laws change frequently. While we update our data sources regularly, there may be a delay between a law change and our update.
- Your individual tax situation may involve complexities not covered by Freya (e.g., multiple income sources, foreign income, special deductions).
- You should consult a qualified tax advisor (doradca podatkowy) or accountant (biuro rachunkowe) for binding tax advice.
- Freya is not liable for any penalties, interest, or financial losses resulting from incorrect tax filings based on its calculations.
- AI chat responses are generated by an automated model and may be inaccurate. Always verify with the calculator or your accountant before acting.
Account and Access
- You sign in using your Google account. Freya does not store passwords.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account.
- Each Google account creates one Freya profile linked to one business (JDG).
- You must provide accurate business information (NIP, tax form, ZUS status) for calculations to be correct.
- You may not use the service for illegal purposes or to generate fraudulent invoices.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Service Availability
Freya is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
- Planned maintenance will be communicated in advance when possible.
- We are not liable for any losses caused by service downtime.
- Paid plans are available alongside a free tier. Pricing and plan terms are stated at checkout; we reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable advance notice.
Intellectual Property
- The Freya application, its design, code, and branding are the intellectual property of Ihor Shaposhnyk.
- Your data (invoices, expenses, business information) remains your property at all times.
- You grant Freya a limited license to process your data solely to provide the service.
- Generated PDF invoices are your business documents — Freya claims no ownership over them.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- Freya and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
- Our total liability for any claim related to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
- We are not liable for any tax penalties, interest, or additional assessments that result from reliance on Freya calculations or AI chat answers.
Termination
- You may stop using Freya at any time by simply not logging in.
- To delete your account and all associated data, send a request to shaposhnik.mcd@gmail.com. We will process it within 30 days.
- We may terminate your access if you violate these terms, with or without prior notice.
- Upon termination, your data will be handled according to our Privacy Policy.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Poland. Any disputes shall be resolved by the competent courts in Krakow, Poland, subject to mandatory consumer protection rules that may apply in your jurisdiction.
